At 11:00 a.m. (Vietnam time) on August 20, 2021, a grand commencement ceremony of coke oven masonry work with distinct Vietnamese cultural elements was held at the site of No. 17 Coke Oven. Nguyen Quang Tung, Deputy General Manager of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel JSC; Vo Dinh Tho, Director of the Dung Quat Coking Plant; Li Fuquan, Deputy Director of Huatai’s Project Management Department; and Du Yukui, Project Manager of Huatai, each laid a brick at the No. 17 coke oven intermediate platform, marking the official commencement of the coke oven masonry work for the Dung Quat Phase III Heat Recovery Coke Oven Project.
“The long and arduous path ahead is as tough as iron, but now we stride forward to conquer it anew.” The project team, currently weathering the challenges of Vietnam’s COVID-19 outbreak, will not retreat. With the support of company leadership and the assistance of the Project Management Department, they will “emphasize both epidemic prevention and construction,” carrying out work under the principles of “safety first, quality first” to ensure the project is completed on schedule and contributing to the company’s further expansion into the Vietnamese market and ultimately into the broader Southeast Asian and even international markets.
