This year marks the 20th National “Work Safety Month”. On the afternoon of May 31, 2021, centered on the theme “Enforcing Safety Accountability, Promoting Safe Development,” the Health, Safety and Environment Department organized the company’s 2021 Work Safety Month Mobilization Meeting. Attendees included General Manager Han Dong, Deputy General Managers Dong Xinghong, Shao Feng, and Song Mingjiang, as well as members of the Work Safety Month Leading Group, safety management engineers, project managers and safety management engineers from subcontracting units. The mobilization meeting was chaired by Yang Zhiwei, Director of the Health, Safety and Environment Department.

First, Yang Zhiwei explained the historical background and significance of Work Safety Month, and introduced the company’s theme and activity plan for the 2021 Work Safety Month. He organized attendees to watch the television documentary “Life Is More Precious Than Mount Tai”, and through President Xi’s earnest teachings, everyone gained a deep appreciation for the value of life and profound humanistic care conveyed in the program.

The attending leaders shared their reflections on the Work Safety Month activities, emphasized the importance of work safety, and offered many valuable suggestions for the company’s safety efforts, which will play a significant role in the company’s future work safety initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, General Manager Han Dong delivered an important speech. He began by emphasizing the importance of work safety, urging everyone to raise their safety awareness and ensuring full participation in safety management. He then outlined specific management measures, calling for stricter enforcement of the “red line” management system, continued implementation of daily safety briefing, and a comprehensive inspection of potential safety hazards at all project stages and work processes. He went on to clarify the scope of the company’s safety responsibilities, noting that safety is not limited to construction projects alone as the design department must heighten safety awareness and strictly adhere to national standards, and the procurement department must also strengthen safety awareness and rigorously control the quality of equipment and materials. Finally, he urged everyone to actively engage in safety efforts and stated his belief that Huatai would undoubtedly be a frontrunner in the new era.

The successful convening of the mobilization meeting has opened up new opportunities for the company’s safe development. A new safety culture continues to inject vitality into Huatai, ensuring the company’s rapid and safe growth!
